Lyrics – 18 outro

There are men with evil hearts and intentions
Maybe they can’t control their actions
Or maybe they just enjoy being in control

This man physically abused women for decades
Cuts and bruises, cracked and broken bones

This man is also guilty of sexual abuse, and of mental abuse

This man inflicted all of these abuses on his family on a weekly basis
With everyone living in constant fear

This man was my father

He will never be brought to justice or be held accountable
This is why I tell my story, so that the whole world can know the truth
The naked and raw truth

But the community loved him, thought he was a great guy

Well, fuck him

Even if his own regrets and conscience make him repent
It will never be enough for all of the pain and suffering he caused

Abandonment
Life
Death
Dreams
Concepts
Inspirations
Selflessness
Selflessness

Sacrifice
Idolatry
Aspirations
Isolation
Loneliness
Daemons
Benevolent
Connections
Selflessness
Selflessness

Impassioned
Catharsis
Naked
Raw
Naked
Raw
Time
Lifeline
Selflessness
Selflessness

If you are suffering any kind of abuse, you must tell someone, anyone
There are people who are ready to help you
You must speak up, you must shout
You must scream as loud as you can so that we can all hear you
You are not alone

Don’t let the trauma of childhood over shadow your adulthood
No one will ever know of your suffering if you keep it all inside

Album Backstory:

I am what you call a Conceptual Musician and I don’t play instruments as such, a little like Malcolm McLaren. And this is a concept album made for the purpose of accompanying my autobiography, though I do intend to put a band together to reproduced it.

I am often asked how I produced my music, and no, it is not AI generated, in fact I hate the whole AI revolution. As a creative, it drives me mad when someone produces something of value and the general assumption is that it must be AI, well it’s not I’m glad to say.

In 2015 I finished writing my autobiography and five years later in 2025 it was published. Another five years later in 2025 I completed the album “Unconventional”. A self imposed personal project which cost thousands to produce, but was worth every penny.

The Lyrics: All of the lyrics for the album are 100% written by myself and I copyrighted them back in 1992. They all originated from my poetry which I used a coping mechanism and an escapism from my abusive childhood, and later tweaked then to be used as song lyrics.

The Music: As a conceptual musician I know in my head exactly the kinds of sounds I want to hear for each track and I have a good understanding of music. I paid session musicians for many aspects of many of the tracks to use as a base layer. Then with the use of DAW software I introduced some of my own created sounds, mixed, blended and remixed until I achieved the sounds that I wanted. Some of the final tweaks were produced in various other music editing tools.

The Videos: As a video editor I extensively researched stock websites and purchased professional video clips and images to suit the criteria of each story that I wanted to convey, sometimes spending days hunting for the right elements for each project.

The AI: Despite my dislike of AI I have to admit that reluctantly I did use AI for the Newsreader on the videos at the start and end of the album. And I also used AI to change my singing voice as I was not happy with production results of my own voice.

The Results: Ultimately, no matter how I created this album, it is a worthy music album in its own right. I appreciate some of the imperfections but at least I have the satisfaction of knowing that it is original and unique with an intense, relatable human story and a production of significance. Conceived, produced and mixed by myself, a time consuming project which consisted of over 2,500 files and more than 300Gb.

I thank you for your time and interest in reading my story and trust that you enjoy the album…
